Over the weekend a few of us went to Deep Creek in western Maryland. It’s a really chill place and we had an awesome time. Monday, before we came home, I made us stop at Swallows Fall State Park which is home to Maryland’s highest waterfall Muddy Creek Falls. I love photographing waterfalls. There’s so much you can do with them. You can slow the shutter down and make the water look silky smooth (as I did below) or get close and use a fast shutter and flash and catch the individual drops of water falling. They also offer a wide dynamic range of highlights and shadows so they are the perfect (IMO) subject for High Dynamic Range photographs.
