So I got my new White Lightning X1600′s today and I needed a way to fire them using my Pocket Wizards. A quick trip to Radio Shack and I had the necessary parts to connect the pocket wizard to the White Lightning X1600 strobe.

You need to get yourself part number 42-2433, 6-Ft Audio Cable 1/4″ phone plug to 1/8″ mini plug.

It looks like this:

I know that 6′ seems long (well it is) but it was what they had when I went there. I tried going with a 1-foot 1/4″ to 1/4″ with a 1/4″ to 1/8″ adapter but it didn’t work. The length allows me to hang the pocket wizard on the lowest part of the light stand for easy access anyway.

Works like a charm so far.
